Preventative maintenance that's what the word is called I'm pretty sure that's what you meant to say since you're in there and you need to replace it even though the thing is fine that's called preventative maintenance so once you're in there it's already replaced you don't have to worry about it again until you're in there again even if it is fine I've learned that from Chris fix the license plate that you have on your backdrop
got tht calsonic ac
When you were turning it over backwards…. a great time to install decompression releases, I mean take out the spark plugs, two turns backwards and install new spark plugs.
A better way with no acces bolt is to place a piece of household paper inbetween the bolt and the socket.
terrible car to work on
“everyone needs a good hug, even cars” i could not agree with you more, sir.
the Figaro is turbocharged?! how did i not recall this from when i watched another video that went under the hood of one of these?!
you two are so physically similar that it’s a little bit scary…
So THAT'S why he made a video on horns. He's justifying them as a business expense.
Why do your videos look like they were edited by a hollywood producer while your intro looks like it was made in windows movie maker
15:00 as a machinist this hurt my sole
Just found this channel and im happy about it. Anyway, i put a piece of plastic bag between the bolt/nut and socket if it needs to stay in.
You turned down the spark plug socket? For what? wakka wakka wakka
I was scared when I saw you on the lathe mostly because of the angle you were using. Thank goodness you still have all 10 digits and both hands.
I have a diagnosis for that 4th spark plug: because metal expands when
it rusts, that nearby bolt has gotten slightly larger than it was when
it was installed, and not enough clearance was left to account for that.
This is by far the most peaceful midnight channel
Is "CA Glue" California Glue, or Canada Glue?
Is that goat statue with the sign "in case of emergency" a reference to AvE?
Because if so, that's amazing, always fun to find out the connections (ha!) Between YouTubers.
I do not understand the white marks on the timing belt.
Wait. Does that thing have only 4 wheel nuts? I have never seen that before. And a basic search reveals it's more common than I thought. It's a bit odd since I have a history with Japanese cars. I guess this car is not meant for highways speeds, so…
17:06 Me every time i work on my MGB
I don't know why the idea of four oil changes is the funniest thing I've heard this weekend
I'm not sure that I'd want someone who serviced my car to do it with one hand.
Here because of Technology Connections! Neat car for sure. 1 comment: Next time you need to stack 4 X 4s on your jack, cross stack them. Ask me how I know!
you need to train an army of ants to help you reach the service points
also what you did on the lathe was dangerous
I hope he had the body work done, that's such a smooth paint job and body rust can go so, so wrong.
Been a sub to Technology Connections for a long time. He linked to the Figaro review video you did and now I can't not subscribe to your channel as well. Both channels are fantastically written and edited and overwhelmingly entertaining.
I watch you both and I always thought you guys had the same sense of humor
These guys have the same energy
I always that Alec had broader shoulders, but I guess that was the illusion of the jacket
Lost 2 engines to timing belts… both of them new-to-me Vauxhall (Opel/GM/Holden) engines. Damn timing belts are eeeeevil. The most annoying was the second… it was fine, till i turned it by hand and cracked a rocker :
7:52.. that's called special tool 113.7.227.482.32A (rev 3), and is no longer available, but used to be 332.42 euros, available to main dealers only
I remember changing the timing belt in my father's '66 Pontiac Tempest LeMans at 204K miles in a parking lot. It was the original timing belt and that particular engine was the first engine to ever use a timing belt instead of a chain. The belt was over 20 years old. Fortunately, the inline 6 was not an interference engine.
Look at those two nerds!! Can I join? Please?
23:06 PB Blaster is your friend!
Who is your assistant he looks very professional
12:35 "I am not a body man.. I more into personality" hahahahahahahahahahaha
Robert is like a child who takes his brand new toy everywhere.
Removing the oil drain plug with a power tool is quite overkill, but the tool is new and fancy so why not.
Dont you love it when auto makers put the oil filter directly above the exhaust pipe? who doesnt love the smell of burning oil and smoke after every oil change?
A lot to do in a week? That's not even a lot to do in one day.
Did this guy say he's not qualified? Who would've guessed. I wouldn't let him touch my car.
Very ballsy to leave your smart watch on while wrenching.
If you can’t film a part installation, just play the removal in reverse and see if we notice.

Use about a 1 foot length on green garden hose to get the spark plug
